I've had three defaults so far today. That's 5 now this month or 1.2% of my loan book of which 3.3% is processing, 7% late and 2% downgraded. Looks like I'm looking at a nasty loss for the year.

Today seems to have been a particularly bad day for defaults. That said, there's been 25 defaults (of fractional loans) so far this month, so to be in 5 of them is particularly unfortunate. Hopefully, the dice will roll in your favour for the rest of the year!

2 months later the loan stops being paid and has now been defaulted...

Defauted 7 months into a 60 month loan and bankrupt shortly after.

Er, yes, that’s the risk of unsecured lending. Oh, and it will get worse when the next recession hits. So what exactly is your point? Most small companies fail, that is a fact of life and should be factored into your asset allocation.

Now, if FC recovery team is as good as some people suggest, i might even be able to break even.
