I was curious on what sort of total amounts people are lending here, so I thought I'd do a poll.

Interesting. I have a smaller amount than usual at the moment since I am waiting to see how the platform develops, but I see some people have gone in for reasonable sums. I question how they are able to offer 6% 5yr at the lower end of the risk spectrum when Z and RS can't (or won't), however recognise that this may be a sign of the growth phase before they start to retain more margin for the platform. What do other people think? P

I joined LW in July 2014 pretty much from their get go. I have allowed my total to creep up to my self imposed max per platform as I've retracted from some of the more riskier platforms I was with. I would love to invest more but my self imposed max is a red line I won't cross.
They are 1 of only 2 platforms that I also have the ISA option with. AC being the other. I see LW as a reliable monthly income option currently.
They seem to just be quietly getting on with it with no fuss or dramas..... ... so far.
You're probably right about the growth phase since they haven't gone a full 5 years yet. Time will tell but I think of them as a slightly better alternative to RS which in turn is a better alternative to Zopa.

I took an interest in P2P for some time but as I am a working taxpayer I waited until the IFISA’s came along. As a reasonably cautious type ,but still willing to try something new I went for LW . So far no regrets and I have more than in LW than the two other P3P sites I invest in put together. ( AC and LC) I notice I never worry about the investment in LW at all which is a good sign , hopefully....

I have recently sold all my Zopa loans as I was concerned at the amount (and pace of recent accumulation) of bad debt. LW seems to offer the same lending experience for higher rates as well as the security many people liked so much with Zopa. I still have most of my P2P in RS but will run it down while rates are below 5%. Some of it to LW but some to Property Partner and House Crowd. Have also tried Property Crowd but the large-ish lump sums place it at the more adventurous end.

I had a quick look at their Trust pilot reviews, which put me off. Have you ever tried to get money back from them, as people seem to run in to problems when trying to cash in their investments?

Hi Ace. I am drip feeding a little each month on 1-2 new properties so now have a fairly diversified collection (about 15) for about 250 each, some a bit more. I haven't yet sold anything but have withdrawn some dividends, which was without problem. I have made a few offers on the secondary market and been reasonably successful. Looking ahead, I would like to keep things slow and steady so now that I have bought into most of the things I find interesting on the secondary market and the deal flow on new offerings isnt that quick, I may not being adding as quickly in the future. But overall I feel pretty positive about PP and will follow the investments I have made through to their 5-year exit.
