Does anybody have any further info on this potential default?
3115 11 Jul 2014 We have downgraded this loan as we have received notification of an adverse credit event in connection with the borrower. We are in the process of contacting the borrower to determine their position.

Standard FC boilerplate, probably a CCJ or winding up petition, HMRC are particularly jumpy over late payments and it's often their doing. Since it's over a month since the comment, a payment must have been due, did it arrive on time? If so, you might be OK. If FC ever decide to remove the downgrade (they might if they get a reasonable explanation and a few timely payments), sell it quick!

New comment on FC
14 Aug 2014 We have received notice that the company has commenced liquidation proceedings. We understand that the guarantors wish to continue to service the loan through an associated company and therefore we are in the process of preparing the necessary paperwork to protect your position. At this time, we envisage that the loan will be repaid in full within the agreed contractual term. Should there be any change in this we will default the loan and update you further.
