Will be interesting to see how much time they devote to personalised phone calls if the SM becomes liquid again? None - from my recent emails exchanged with them, there has been no difference in the way the support guys answering my enquiries, and the time taken is even longer when they are making phone calls ... their support model remained the same while being proud of themselves on the “20,000” investors. But not telling investors how many of these are “active”, or what the average fund sizes are, or whether the average active investor fund size increasing or decreasing. Basically, not telling any *health* statistics.

Since the 6.5m repayment on Lend, SM moved a bit, the gloom and doom sentiment on this forum seems to have gone down a bit ... myself included, I also want to see a healthier Lendy and SM, that is in my own as well as all investors’ best interest. Hope the market condition will keep on improving. SM clearing doesn't really help those nursing big losses because of platform greed.

And the SM doesn't cover those 'suspended' and 'defaulted' loans, which are a way bigger chunk than what's on the SM.

I had a call earlier.
It was actually a very sensible, grown-up, realistic call. My balance has reduced by about 20% or so this year, but is still non-trivial. We talked about defaults and suspended loans, and their actions behind the scenes to move things forward. We talked about previously over-optimistic valuations. We talked about a lack of interesting new loans coming on-platform in favour of endless tranches of the same old handful. The call did a lot, tbh, to improve my perceptions of Lendy.
Although... if it wasn't for this thread, and the fact the call thereby came as no surprise, I'd quite likely have been a lot shorter. Why make the call from a random mobile number in a noisy office, ...?

I got one and mentioned 4 annoyances 1) bad debit not in tax statement, 2) no new borrowers, 3) voting system too short notice and unbalanced, 4) pleading email messages and pop-ups.

Among other issues, I forgot to seek clarification on the use of the provisional fund.

My wife received a voice mail and a follow-up email, beginning:
"Dear ......,
As discussed in our voicemail message we are writing to re-present certain development projects and to give you an opportunity to invest further. ..........."
So what, you say, one among many?
Well, a letter was sent to Lendy a month ago stating the T&C's were not acceptable. A week later after no response, an email confirming same was also sent to Lendy.
To date, neither the letter nor the email has been responded to..........
Need I say more?

I sent an email reply to their email following the phone call - I got an email reply to mine within a few hours! While the reply did not address any specific points I raised, it at least shows they are reading our thoughts and therefore hopefully are taking them into account as they attempt to regain Lenders confidence.

Strangely enough, I see Lendysupport and Paul64 online and viewing the Lendy board a lot more these days.
Hopefully taking some notice.

My balance has reduced by about 20% or so this year During the same period, my investment on Lendy Ballooned 3 times. I reinvested my interests this month, but I am now reassessing my methodology.

Has anyone found a way to stop these unsolicited calls ? Paul64 would you please publish a means to allow people to opt out of these phone calls ... your website includes a section to specify email communication preferences ( lendy.co.uk/account/email-preferences ) but there is no equivalent for phone / mobile / post marketing. If there is one thing that will convince me to look elsewhere for p2p investments, it is being pestered by marketing cold callers.

After endless calls, in spite of telephone preferences, we put Call Guardian on our phones. It stopped them dead. It killed a lot of fun though, my favourite response when clearly unwanted callers asked for my wife, was to say "Oh yes, I'm sure she'd love to talk to you. She's in the South paddock with the horses, I'll just go and get her for you." I wouldn't wait for a reply, leave the phone off the hook and hang up later. The closest we had to a horse was a cat and the South paddock would have to be the front garden.

Yeah, I have a call blocker on my landline, but the call was on my mobile (PAYG so I had to pay to listen to their rather long voice message). I raised a complaint via their support ticketing system, and got a response within a couple of hours: (My bold)What on earth has my forum alias got to do with anything ? (Which in any case is well known to both Tim and Liam, who know exactly who I am) Paul64 its been made clear to Lendy that use of the forum to contact lenders by PM is a breach of the forum rules, and, in common with all other forum members, repeatedly breaching forum rules is liable to result in a permanent ban from participation on the forum.

I only have three loans left on the platform. All are defaulted or overdue. Lendy would be wise to check my account then avoid phoning me, because they will get a very frank response if they do!!! As far as I know Lendy do not know who oldgrumpy is ... though they could, with a bit of cunning thought, probably piece together the clues. Forumites here might find it more difficult.

/moderator hat off.
Unfortunately, afaik, contacting your customers does not count as cold calling, so we can't unleash the full wrath of the TPS et al on them (oh look, rubber teeth, how cute!), however it is definitely unwelcome.
If Ly want to solicit customer opinions, they can read them here, read them on Trustpilot (and elsewhere) ('protective eye-wear recommended'), or post a request for interested users to ping them. If they want to drum up more funding for 'wooden sheds looking nothing like the artist's impression, tranche XX+1' they are S.O.L. unless the cash-back reaches high double digits. Getting £zzzM funded for some DFLs is/was clearly possible .. it might even be possible to extract another £zzzM for a second set (if unconnected), but extracting £zzzM * 5, for the same project/borrowers in later tranches is not going to fly unless the first round was massively oversubscribed, or new punters are arriving at an ever increasing rate.
Or, to paraphrase that, 'forget it'.
