I agree. It needs some urgent thinking - it may have been useful when Assetz was in early startup mode but now it is going to cause difficulties and bad feeling which can only get worse

Suggest capping maximum to 50% of loan for prebidders and email warnings that new loan is listed (i completely missed yesterday's loan);

I understand desire to reward large investors but to a certain extent they already have an advantage against small investors on account of their size and presumably higher appetite for risk - giving them a head start amplifies their advantage.

Big investors can presumably go elsewhere just as quickly as they come and if small investors have got fed up, Assetz itself becomes less stable

Interesting that the latest loan is almost filled before the official start, but the pub loan of the same size had to be pulled.

Today's loans have shown up the iniquity of AC's secret privilege system that gives pre-bidding rights to some lenders. Having been already to withdraw from when they mislaid my initial funds transfer, I had started to come round and was going to use this weeks bridging loans as the starting point for a much larger investment, however with no disclosure of the of this secret group until now when it has become too obvious to hide, I am starting to wonder what else AC are hiding and I find myself once seriously reconsidering my investment plans again.

Update: so the unwashed got to bid on just 15% of the loan which was then fulfilled within 3 minutes of it going live, I just managed to my bids in by sitting clicking the browser refresh in the run up to 16:00. 

Not sure it's ever been much of a secret but I agree it should be better flagged and they should leave more for the smaller lenders. Of course, I may change my mind when I get over the magic £10K if they haven't moved the goalposts by then.

Bit like having a first class air ticket (you get a drink before takeoff).

As this thread has moved on (with speed) perhaps a few of the posters have not read Chris' comments (Page 1) on why Assetz needed to fill this loan quick. Many of the big pre-bids from the Gold Club in the early stages were very large with if I remember correctly  two of well over £100k and many in five figures. It therefore figures that even if there was no prebidding this one would have filled in minutes rather than hours. Maybe, just maybe other similar auctions will fill more slowly and everyone will get a chance. It is also worth bearing in mind that there probably is a large amount of money waiting to be spent in Assets just as there was in FC a few weeks back.
