<snip> Just as annoying as orphaned bits, and overbid bits really, it means investors funds are tied up when they shouldn't be. Couldn't agree more that the sooner these glitches are fixed the better though. Yes, Ive ended up with £100 tied up in an overbid on boaty loan which I would have use on other boaty bits or more PBL7. Hopefully still be some left when it gets unwound tomorrow. Did chuckle at the two people who bid for the same 2p of another boaty loan Other annoying thing that needs to be sorted is the lack of response from SS to communication both through their online form & email. Sent a few messages over the last couple of weeks and received nothing back. Not impressed.

Mine isn't an orphaned amount, it has sold in its entirety (100%), but it sold in two pieces and for some reason the funds haven't been released back into my account yet - it wasn't even the last sale, there has been quite a lot sold subsequently for that matter. I had one like it a week or so ago but this was during office hours and SS sorted it quite quickly. Has anyone else had one of these? Just as annoying as orphaned bits, and overbid bits really, it means investors funds are tied up when they shouldn't be. Couldn't agree more that the sooner these glitches are fixed the better though. Mine has done exactly the same it has sold 100% with transactions going through after Thank goodness for forums where problems are at least discussed. Is posting a loan whilst no one in the office is available wise?

Wow - quick someone there's 0.14p left of PBL 07, almost as fast as a boaty loan .

Is posting a loan whilst no one in the office is available wise? It's starting to sound like it isn't wise to sell loan parts when no-one is around for sure, from the number of people who've had problems here . It probably isn't wise to be relying on selling loan parts to be able to invest in new loans anyway - not saying I don't do it, because I do, but I don't rely on it. SS posting the loan hasn't been the problem as such, because I don't think there was any problem with the investments in the new loan, but selling loan parts has been. I sold a fair few loan parts last night, most of which were purchased from me a bit at a time, and didn't have any problems with any of them, so it's not a fundamental problem with that mechanism, but clearly a glitch that's starting to become a common occurence. I have had one stuck one in the past (out of 40 parts I've sold) which probably wasn't at a busy time because I mostly try to sell when it's quiet, so it isn't necessarily going to be related to the busy-ness factor we had last night. As others have said, I really hope they manage to sort out what happens there because it's undermining confidence in the mechanism.

I just sold a loan part to re-invest in no. 7 and it has gone wrong. Its showing as 100% sold, but still for sale. Sent off a couple of emails to them so lets hope. I'm guessing yours is the loan part that has 84p left to sell... That was mine. Ended up having to buy it back myself to free up the rest of the loan part. Also had the exact opposite of Notaclue, had a loan part showing as 0% sold but wasn't available for sale. Wonder if it was the same loan, mine was the 2006 Luxury Widebeam. All quickly sorted after an email however.

Well, there is reportedly another one coming within 7 days, don't know if it will have cash-back though, its a property but will pay out the Bourne Boat (we hope!). You have to keep your eye on that horizon with SS or they will sail off without you - boats under small bridges it seems!

Indeed. Got a nice email from SS informing of above. Quite a nice feature as we can lose track of various loans in the grand scheme of things & the notification serves as a gentle reminder
