I have got 37 PM loans matched today. Now the account has 217 loan parts since adding fund on 21st May.

Looks like the large pile of unallocated cash has been invested. My account was fully invested by lunchtime, so I added £500 more and £188 was allocated this afternoon.

I was within 1% of being fully invested last week (despite adding twice) and then I added more. Going well, expect to be fully invested with a day or two. No complaints (about the rate of investment).

No complaints (about the rate of investment). For me, too, the problems have gone away. I was nearly fully-invested so I added a lump on Monday morning, reducing me to 63% invested. I started receiving loans straight away, and this has continued steadily. It looks like I'll be full-invested by the end of today. It's a big improvement on how my progress was going a couple of weeks ago when I hit a wall with 40% spare cash. Strange.

Well I turned lending back on 6 weeks ago having withdrawn all my original capital investment and there being almost enough available funds for 5 loan parts FC have failed to invest any of my funds, despite sending me an email a couple of weeks ago telling me I needed to increase my investment to reach diversification targets.
I have no intention of putting any more cash in until I see how well their now not so new system performs- but if they don't use some of my available funds soon then instead I will just withdraw my cash when It reaches a nice round £100.

FC algorithm buys loans part in 0.5% of your portfolio, if you have £20k in your FC account, then the algorithm will buy the new loan parts in £100, but won’t buy them in 5 x £20 It is also worth checking your transaction statement, it might have bought loans without you realise and then repayment of another £100. To be honest, FC needs money to fill up the loan book so the money should not be sitting for too long unless the lending option is switched off.

I only have a ~£500 left in ( plus ~£120 in losses some of which may get recovered) so it should be buying £20 parts as that is > 0.5% of my total currently 20% of my funds are sitting idle.

FC currently have a shortage of loans, and the algo is programmed to try to keep everybody with the same % of uninvested funds. For me that was 15% sat there doing nothing all day every day, so I've started taking repayments out.

That's weird, all my FC accounts have unused fund matched, unmatched fund is less than <0.5%, I haven't topped for quite a while. Checking the transaction statement, the number of loans matched seems reasonable. FC does not match PM loan on weekends, only does weekdays. . Between 9th-13th Jul, at least 55 new loans formed every day on average. Date Matched, Loan ID 2nd Jul 59261 3rd Jul 59364 6th Jul 59544 9th Jul 59607 10th 595693 13th 59885 May be give FC a ring or something to fix the unmatched money.

In my experience, once you withdraw money, matching algorithm switches to slow matching mode. Also, FC minimum investment per account is £1k. I guess if your account has less than £1k, the algo won't buy more loan part.

I'll start doing it too. Dormant returns can do better somewhere else.

I have investments maturing there almost every day, so it doesn't take it too long to withdraw and reinvest elsewhere. AC's 30 day is also good for this.

Any one else experiencing cash drag in FC account?
One of mine is building up funds up to 3.4% since 28th Aug. I have no idea why this account is building up cash drag while FC has lent out on average 49 new loans per day since 16th Aug (36 days).

I'm currently managing 3 FC accounts. All are set to Balanced. Available cash is 0.3%, 0.4% and 0.8%.
I haven't noticed any cash drag above 1% recently, and I do have a look most days.
I have noticed cash drag in the past, where I got no new loans allocated for a couple of weeks when lots of loans were being made. Asking FC wasn't helpful, just got the standard party line. It just sorted itself out after a while and seems to have been ok since.
I presume that you haven't somehow turned lending off. Sorry, I can't be more helpful.
