Apparently I now need to have a mobile phone to log into my account, there seems to be no way to log in without one. I didn't see that as a requirement in the old or new T&Cs.
I do actually have one, but use it rarely as I'm by a landline most of the time, so it resides in the glovebox of my car, a real pain as an extra security level.

That's strange, I have just been able to log into my account as usual. There was no mention of needing a mobile phone. Did GS send you an email explaining these new requirements?

Oh I see what happened, there is a 'What do you want to do?' above the sign in, I think in the past it was defaulted to 'invest', but I had to do some upgrades to my computer and it seems to have defaulted to 'borrow' this time, I just clicked through without noticing and got the mobile phone prompt.
