I just called Lendy to discuss an issue that I have with an overdue loan , I was told that if I passed on details of the problem I would get an email response back within 5 working days ! The guy I spoke to was from a 3rd party call handling service and stated that they were employed to save Lendy time & money so they could deal with the more important issues like getting truthful and informative reviews on Trustpilot removed , New Investments & Research Can't believe that I can't even ask a question ! If this is progress then count me out --- Incredible

Been like that for a few years I'm afraid - it's a better response from that I had a couple of years back where the phone was answered by a lady who asked you to email your question as they were no longer dealing with phonecalls!

This seems a bit of a change in tack from harassing us by emails asking us to phone them to discuss problems or just have a chat. Looks like Baldrick is behind strategy development.

What's the point of this phone service?
If we wanted a response by email, we'd send the enquiry by email.

What's the point of this phone service? If we wanted a response by email, we'd send the enquiry by email. It's perfect for all those occasions where you've a weak phone signal but no data connection and urgently need to ask Lendy a question that you're happy to wait a week or more to have answered (often incorrectly)

It's obvious isn't it, that platforms don't like being asked difficult questions and simply having a 'service' like this keeps up the pretence that they can be contacted by telephone. If there were no phone numbers at all on the website it might look like there was something to hide.
No doubt in the world of P2P this can be spun as being for our benefit.

What's the point of this phone service? If we wanted a response by email, we'd send the enquiry by email. ... whereas many other types of business, many with a strong online presence, won't allow one to contact Customer "Service" by email, and insist on one phoning and listening to dreadful piped music and irritating "we'll be with you any moment" messages ad nauseam... And some of those who do respond to email just write back saying "please call us". Grrrr.
