Reluctantly getting used to AC's/Authy's 2FA.
Just when you think you know the routine, something changes. I'm using the Google-Chrome extension on my laptop or desktop, and I am now getting pop-up notifications immediately after entering email address and password, urging me to "Tap to get your Assetz Capital security code". This happens automatically even though I have not opened the Authy extension. Tapping wouldn't work for me, but the mouse seems OK.
Wouldn't mind too much but I don't need it three times at approximately one second intervals, followed later on by further reminders, although I haven't worked out yet quite what prompts these further prompts.
Don't know who has initiated this, AC or Authy, but WOW! this is becoming tedious.

You'll still need to use 2fa for sensitive transactions but not for every log-in.

chris would you mind being a little more specific about the time frame please? From what I can gather, this conversation has been going on for literally years now! I think you may be underestimating how much your customers would value this feature, which personally speaking, I do consider to be a safety feature and not just an added convenience. I can't I'm afraid as I'm not in control of the timing. We've moved to a sprint system with prioritisation set by the various stakeholders within the business. They agree what the commercial priorities are prior to each two week development sprint and then agree with the developers which jobs will be tackled during the next sprint balancing development time against the relative priorities. I have a voice on that panel but do not dominate it. Designated bank accounts are near the top of the priority list but didn't make it into the current sprint. They'll be reviewed again for the next sprint in a week's time where they may or may not make the cut depending on the commercial pressures at that point in time. Hi chris. What's the state of play on the designated bank accounts please?

It's not in the current sprint which finishes 2nd October. It may make it back into the next sprint after that.

Can anyone help? previously I used the code to access the site and ticked the box that allows access without the code every time. Suddenly I can only use the AUTHY app to authorise when prompted. If I use the option I dont have a code and enter the 6 digit number I am taken back to the login page. However when AC staff try using my code they gain access. Any suggestions please. I am technically stupid.

Someone just told you to “force reload” your browser to fix something. Depending on your operating system all you need to do is the following key combination:
Windows: ctrl + F5 Mac/Apple: Apple + R or command + R Linux: F5
