At what stage do i do this in windows? Try it on the login page.
It may not help at all, but it wont do any harm.

Crikey this seems even worse than the alternatives, and I cannot get a mobile signal here and we have a cold call screening system which I have to turn off to receive the call on the land line.

I'd stick with turning off your call screening when you need to and turning it back on again. If you check the box to limit the number of times you are asked for 2FA, it lasts you for a good long time, weeks anyway, between instances. Although you would also have to do it when performing sensitive transactions once signed in.

Once you're registered you can use the mobile app without a signal to generate an authorisation code or over wifi.

chris Will there be an announcement when it's live? The feature ended up being shuffled back in preference for some other work. It's not in the current sprint which finishes 2nd October. It may make it back into the next sprint after that. chris, following up on the designated bank accounts. What's the latest please?

It's in the current sprint and being worked on, so due for delivery to the rest of the business on the 30th. That's not necessarily when it'll go live as it needs signing off but it should be shortly after that.

Could it still be bumped like it was last time or is it actually going to happen this time around?

It would be unusual for something to be dropped mid-sprint though. So maybe let your hopes rise but don't start holding your breath just yet!

Cautious optimism it is then! Thank you. You've likely seen the email about 2FA becoming mandatory for all lenders. That's a prerequisite for designated bank accounts, so they're pencilled in for go live at the same time.
