Its about time we had the dedicated account, as copying & pasting from my bank statement (in case of errors) is going to be a PITA. Other P2P sites have this, so why hasn't Assetz done this yet. Answers please Chris I've been asking chris every couple of months about this.. last reason was that it needed to be tested before going live, so I think we're still heading in the right direction, if *very* slowly! I find the continuing lack of this very strange. Nearly every other Financial Services firm I deal with now, including P2P, insists on having a nominated bank account setup to ensure any withdrawals aren't "misdirected". I prefer it that way too, for the same reason. So, either it is in effect nominated and we are just revalidating what Assetz already know (pointlessly), or we are giving the opportunity for crooks to redirect funds to other accounts (perhaps even in our own name) that we have access to. That aside from the possibility of errors, and just plain faff. How hard can it possibly be, seriously. Or perhaps more to the point of whatever agile-like development they're doing, how can this not be a priority?

I cant believe you are still having this conversation. If they are taking so long over it, its because they are not bothered and probably wont do it at all now.

I can't believe you're still reading all these conversations that you are clearly not interested in... let alone bothering to take the time to comment about them!

It's obviously not a priority for them but it is for me so I'm not going to let it go! It's definitely closer to fruition than it was this time last year!

Thanks chris . Realistically, when are we looking at now? I honestly don't know - it should be within the next couple of weeks, but it's not the first time I've been told that this is the case. chris what's the latest on the designated bank accounts please?

chris what's the latest on the designated bank accounts please? chris ? I'm told communication should be heading out to all lenders within the next week which will give a timeline for the launch of the feature.

I remember this being a contentious issue with some investors, way back during those long Summer days.
Well guess what, my bank has just implemented the same 2FA, so I have to have at hand either my mobile or a card reader & my debit card, just to log in (never mind actually move cash in any direction)
They don't even have the little tick box for reducing the number of times it happens, as it happens EVERY time.

I am being threatened that I might need to do similar when I make credit card purchases. One bank has one for every payment, even if I paid money to it many times in the past.

My bank has requested text message verification twice in the last six months, "Y" or "N" response. Both were related to flight purchases from a major airline that I regularly purchase flights from using the card. Each verification cost me 20p as I was abroad at the time, with a UK sim.

Strong Customer Authentication is mandatory for all electronic transactions (not sure that exact criteria) as off 14 Sep 19 but EU regs allow individual countries to delay implementation. AIUI the UK has set a deadline of 18 months for providers to implement.
