I use Mozilla Firefox as a browser. Used to be the case that if I clicked on a loan document, say a Credit Report, the file would be physically downloaded (to my Downloads directory) with a filename consisting of a long string of hex digits, plus '.pdf' suffix. Apart from the silly filename, no problem, click on the file, gets opened by Acrobat.
This week, clicking on a loan document, say a Credit Report, still causes a physical download to my Downloads folder, but now with a filename like 7141-Credit Report but with no suffix. Result: clicking on the file WON'T cause it to be opened by Acrobat unless I rename it to add '.pdf' file.
AC's livechat said -clicking on a document doesn't download it. Sorry AC, yes it does, at least on my configuration (always has) -it's a PDF file. Well, yes, clearly formatted internally as such, but - as I told them - lack of a suffix means there's no association with Acrobat. -when I asked if they could check with the tech team "I will ask but as you can imagine, they are busy so this will be low priority I can't say when I would get a response".
Anybody else noticed a change to AC documents ?
chris - any idea about this ?
Edit: with IE, clicking on a Credit Report doesn't cause physical download.

Don't know about Firefox but I sometimes use Mozilla Seamonkey (from the same stable, but a combined browser and email client).
I agree downloads seem no longer to have the .pdf suffix, but Acrobat still opens for me OK. Try looking to see whether you can find something about pdfs under a Firefox menu item - perhaps something like "/edit/preferences/helper appllications". You can probably specify Acrobat for pdfs.
Normally I use Chrome. Downloads open automatically on there almost whatever format they happen to be in, including a pdf file with the .pdf suffix missing!
Hope this helps to some extent.

Thanks, it did help. I changed Options/Applications, specifically Application 'Portable Document Format (PDF)' option from 'Save file' to 'Use Adobe Acrobat reader', except it somehow got changed to 'Always ask'. End result is OK though, no physical download, confirmation window pops up asking if OK to open with Acrobat (or choice to save it).
