Two R&D loans on the site within 24 hrs & both fully invested in less than two hours! That's impressive going in a fairly subdued P2P market. I suspect there were a number of large investments made against the planned HMRC R&D claims.

I asked what security there was in a situation where the RnD claim failed. The answer was "none". I declined to invest.
Which is a shame really, because it wouldn't be that hard to put these companies balance sheets etc behind some of these RnD loans and substantially decrease the risk. In an ideal world I'd like to be supportive of some of this stuff.

R&D claims that are approved seem like a good lending opportunity. Short term, reasonable returns. Arguably you are waiting on a government payment.
