Thus reducing my return since I ceased new lending when the new rules came into play last September to a miserly 1.3% with a little over one month to go before a whole year is up. Woeful.

These are my numbers:
Gross yield:
14.6%
Annualised return (after fees and bad debts):
3.9%
Estimated fully
diversified return (after fees and bad debts):
9.6%
That 3.9% was for a very long time well into double digits. Since I started pulling out some months ago it seems to have plummeted. I assume its something to do with being left only loans I can't sell which are therefore more likely to go bad. But the figure is averaged since I started lending at FC (more than 7 years ago I think) so I presume my losses this year have been pretty hefty.

I'd take FC's numbers with a pinch of salt if I were you. Here are their 'official' figures for my account:
Gross Yield 12.8%
Annualised Return (after fees and bad debts) 8.9%
Estimated Fully Diversified Return (after fees and bad debts) 8.6%

Bizarrely the notification of default that appeared yesterday is no longer on my list of loan comments. My reduced balance prevails though!
Unfortunately I didn't make a note of the loan No. so will have to undertake a bit of research. Doh!
