I'd like to ask some questions which might look a bit gormless. A while ago I stuck $50 into a couple of loans. It now states alongside these loans 2 things, that they are 100% repaid, and that they are repaid with currency loss. How can it be both? It says my total available to lend is $0.0 so where has the money gone? I assumed I'd be able to lend repaid money to others. And I have got a Kiva donation receipt which it says can be set against US tax. Is that where the money has gone? And can Kiva donations be used against UK tax? Cheers D

It looks like you may have ticked the box to donate your repayments.

It looks like you may have ticked the box to donate your repayments. Thanks, that makes sense, though I never noticed the box.

Having gone into settings I see I did not tick the donate to Kiva button, but I see after 90 days inactivity it goes to them. And I'm pretty sure I wasn't inactive for 90 days after the loands repaid. And auto lending is on so surely that should have kicked in before Kiva got their hands on it?

We lost a lot of members down to 45 now. I assume it only counts active members and inactive ones are removed from the team On the plus side we are now past €65,830 lent over 2,610 loans

The annoying thing about Kiva is having to donate in $. Not just the bank's robbery rate of exchange, but it always reminds me how weak the pound is.
