I use Starling as well. Great product and I can't see why anyone (or any young person comfortable with smartphone use, at least) would open an account anywhere else. I think they need a contract with the Post Office to provide counter services and then they would be almost perfect.

Sounds like a good partnership for GS as well and will hopefully support a sustainable increase in their loan book over time.

The post office partnership would be perfect.

The current Natwest cash deposit is a work around since it can’t be done with a cash deposit machine and the cheques needed to be mailed.

I suppose starling bank retail customers rarely uses these facilities in the UK, we are heading to a cashless society
