Just found wisealpha and this product today.
Have been looking for a black box product for a while and ruled out various options (AC, FC, SS) but this one looks appealing. Has anybody used this product and if so: - how quickly does your money get invested - is it suitably diversified, what % goes into each bond - what happens if wisealpha goes bankrupt or does a collateraluk - is this similar to a high yield bond fund and if so why is the yield so much higher?

Not sure if you can check % per bond(but its still only a bond with WA invested in their own notes) If they go bust there is the usual T&C's about cash being ring fenced and the notes being dealt with in a ordered way(so like most P2P its a promise till tested) Would say not similar to a bond fund as that will be spread over possibly hundreds of bonds of different rates with the chance of capital growth(and loss) as well as the yield.WA is mainly about holding to term for the interest only Not all the notes/bonds on WA pay high rates some are as low as 3 or 4% but you also need to check if a bond is secured or not as some with much higher rates are not.But as per the post's on here about HOF even being secured is not a gaurantee

I have 6 figures in smart invest basically earning £700 for every £10000 staggered over the past year. I would invest more but as you say doing a collateral is at the back of my mind here too. the only concern I have is that I do not actually own the bonds just a note saying I own a portion of bonds owned by wise alpha. As long as platform failure doesn't happen then I am happy with the product. wise alpha isn't p2p as such so that gives me confidence as do the awards, but then again what do I know......
I would invest more but I'm waiting to see what happens with Brexit and the knock on effect on bond prices. I'm due my first payout in November so will return and post then. until that time I continue to watch the misery unfold with Lendy

Pure unsecured creditor of WA, a wholly different beast (particularly with over 100k on the line for more than half a decade, at least the Notes are bankruptcy remote in BVI). Also I didn't understand the bit about not being p2p is better, I'd much rather have direct lending with blue chips than have counterparty risk of a fintech start-up inbetween (not available for less than 100k a go in this market but in principle direct would be far preferable or at least syndicated by a substantial, market making institution).
