Okay so its probably a minor blimp but i've not been able to see the loanbook report for nearly 24 hours now I keep getting the
We have a problem - 500
Error.
I am still able to download both "current" and "all_time" CSV's okay, bypassing the loanbook screen with my own links, but I do use the loanbook report to get quick loan type counts for my stats spreadsheets.
Is anyone else having trouble seeing the loanbook screen or is it just me?
Okay just checked it and the Invest one seems available again but the ISA one is definitely not working, I used their links just in case they were checking the routing was correct.
Nope tried it again and its down so its kind of up and down like a yoyo at the moment. real pain in that 'R'se if you ask me.

Thanks, It's sort of working again but there is quite a lag between the column headers being presented and the actual data being loaded. The fact that I was getting the headers etc before the error indicated to me there may be an issue with the backend server performance/supply etc.
I've tried it on 4 different browsers and they are all the same on the sluggish stakes before the data arrives in the screen.
Interestingly not all the browsers present the info in the same way. On Vivaldi the new dashboard is not even available. The older version is used. It's also considerably faster than the Chrome version but that may be because Vivaldi and Chrome are at opposite ends of the performance windows.
As there is such a lag on the data section being loaded I'm guessing that either there are some issues on the server connections or the server with the data is running very slowly. Perhaps someone is trying to optimise the server and it keeps going offline with the front end just timing out when its not there.
It's definitely back at the moment still but very tenuously in my mind.

aju My display seemed a bit slow, but hard to tell objectively whether it was slower than usual.

aju My display seemed a bit slow, but hard to tell objectively whether it was slower than usual. Its most definitely noticeable from two days ago, a second or two compared to what seems more like 5/6 seconds or more. All 4 browsers were about the same so its not a browser issue - I feel. I know they are moving and changing things quite a bit over the last 2-3 weeks or more but this is getting to be a bit of an issue for me even though I have managed to circumvent their awful new menu threading debacle. For me I have been doing my monthly reconciliations and its been very noticable, as I say thankfully the CSV's I need are not on their loanbook screens server as such. I had no problem just linking to the CSV's and bypassing the loanbook altogether. I'm also able to get where I want to very quickly by bypassing the menus system, at first I thought it was because of this it was dropping out on me. Think is when it drops out it really should pass back a message to the screen its on not the front and and one has to wde their way all the way back to the position they want to be. Its not a very well structured system since they started tweaking it a couple of years ago I feel

Its gone again, for me anyway.
More worrying is that I had tried vivaldi some half hour ago and i tried it again and it went straight into the loanbook screen, no login or anything. Maybe I forgot to log out when I closed the browser but the timers on the screen/login state etc should surely have kicked me off anyway, shouldn't they.

Yes it should have made you log on again even if you didn't log out.
Works fine for me (both log on and loanbook) and I don't bother with logging out when I check in every month.

Thing is though, what if you don't logout, just shutdown the browser and walk out the cafe and lose the laptop blah blah blah, I know that's not a good approach but lets just assume there are people that do this is it not up to the bank to make sure the timers are adequate in the cookies or whatever they use to stop this. I was a bit surprised that they loaded up without logging in. I've just remembered I did an experiment 30 minutes ago with firefox and just now it certainly had forced me to log in again when I reloaded it. Perhaps it's just Vivaldi then and since its not got the same front end as we are now used to , ie the pre dashboard one then I'm guessing its using an older mozilla engine perhaps. Oh well from the people on here I guess I'm the only one suffering from these issues. Even without that though Zopa seems aweful sloooooow now, hence the reason I use direct links to where in Zopa I want to be rather than the usual round the house route to the function I wish to be using.
