It's an error message which some websites give when the actual webserver is down (but the cache or traffic load balancer is up). Usually a case of trying again a while later.

its back again Have to login though to get this message somewhat annoying I feel. Perhaps someone is fly tipping some more incorrect junk into the web pages ;-)
Very curious, I assumed I am not logged in at that point but it seems I maybe as going to the main front Zopa front screen and clicking signin option I am getting bad gateway immediately, little sniff of a zopa page before it went the 502.
I think they may be reinstalling all the servers or something as its back up for Mrs Aju but trying to look at get a loan page still has a 502 error.
Edit: at last login attempts now getting a message that says we are making updates, dare I suggest someone is listening to what i've been banging on at them in emails about telling us before login. Mind you I had managed to login and then get bad gateway and then not be able to log out until they turned it back on then it went to dashboard.
I would have had to close my browser down or wait 15 minutes until it had logged out. Probably could remove the cookies but which ones is not very obvious.

This must be big update or something way more drastic has happened. Anybody got any ideas ... according to twitter zopa said ( twitter.com/zopahelp?lang=en refers) The user asked what was happening about 12:30 ish

its just come back @ 16:37 but its the older platform so I guess the newer one is broke perhaps.

Not sure what’s been going on but all seem OK to me though it’s fair to say I don’t usually log on during the day. The system went awry at about 12:00, seemed like a server went off the air, it fluttered on and off for a bit with pages changing states etc. After about 15-20 mins a warning was posted on login as detailed above indicating some planned changes were occurring. This was eventually moved back to screens before login with a number of odd changes. The system then came back on stream as an earlier version without the dashboard, effectively the pre July system and it still is that way as I write this. this version is much faster than the newer system. Its a real shame that a planned outage of this length - over 4 hours I think - is not commonicated to the users or at least the relevant screen are promed so that people cannot be left in a logged in state and stuff at the 502 Bad gateway errors unable to log in. At least they have introduced a 15 inactivity logout but not sure its embedded in the current older system.

Assuming you still have the old screen and if you want the dashboard back click on the 'ZOPA' top left (beside 'Investing').

I tried that while I was logged in and the first time is went the zopa.com screen when starting affresh, since then its just going to the dashboard. Do you mean when I get the bad gateway just wait until it comes back perhaps. Weirdest thing at moment though is that its logging out intermittently so I wonder if they are working on the security I've been banging on about recently. Probably just a blip or worse they are working on something in live environment and its forcing logout. The new logout says the inactivity timer for forced logout is 15 minutes but this was way less than that.

Have been able to get in a couple of times but each time I change to a different browser tab or app on my PC when I go back to Zopa I'm been logged out and I'm back on the log in screen.
Now it keeps telling me my password or username is wrong (they're both correct).
