Any info from anyone if this London Loan sold at auction which I think was 25 Feb? It wasn't a public auction... It was a deadline for sealed and final bids. No news that I'm aware of

Anyone heard anything on the price achieved? No guarantee it sold at all. I imagine they got a few low offers but too low to be accepted. What with the waterfall, RSM costs, Legal costs against borrower etc we wont see much back on this. shame as I have quite a lot invested in this one.

Well with the Chinese virus now destroying the economy for who knows how long, I can't see much happening in the property market for some time and the prices will be lower than expected. I don't think we will get anywhere near the £6million. Thank you China we had enough to contend with out your bat soup joining in.

Last night, I was looking at Youtube in respect of 'Wuhan wet market' and believe me, bat soup is the least we've got to worry about. There was slop and vermin laid out for sale in some of those videos that even the dead rats on sale would turn their noses up in disgust at!

Was it not April 1st 2019 when we were all on tenterhooks about this loan? Different tenterhooks in 2020!

In recent years we have had several instances of meat being sold through the UK/European food chain which was not as described - condemned chicken, horse meat, Salmonella infected eggs etc. it is commonplace in the UK today to eat wild game meat and rabbits. The French eat horse meat and the Germans wild boar. With unsatisfactory offal/brain rendering practices the UK experienced a Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy epidemic which was spread far afield before being brought under control. Unfortunately some people died from the human form as a result. China has a very large population so it is more likely that by chance novel diseases will emerge in that part of the world.

Nasty little digs like that pick you out as the sort of person I wouldn't get on with.

In oldfool's defense, if his livelihood, family or friends have been decimated by Coronavirus, he may be leaning towards that 'nasty' response. Anyway, I agree with you, it's probably better than to just 'have a dig', to instead scientifically review the established ground zero/sources of this generation's pandemics. Here they are tabled for ease: Pandemic | Established Ground Zero / Source | Covid-19 | China | SARS | China | Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) | China

You missed off the 2009 H1N1 Pandemic which started in the US.
And of course these epidemics: MERS - Middle East
Ebola - West Africa Zika - Brazil Lassa Fever - West Africa
Still, please don't let facts get in the way for a pseudo prejudicial rant.

The Chinese are doing so well with tackling covid as they knew exactly what to do , given their previous first hand experience of tackling the virus epidemics previously that transmitted from animal to human, that started before in their country.
Particularly them, and other countries as well, have failed to grasp the nettle, when it comes to adopting good farming practice, that treat animals fairly.
They have a lot to learn, as do many other countries. But i would particularly highlight them.

Back to the subject matter please.
Does anyone know if the property is still occupied by the so called Caretakers? In these difficult time I can see that this location would be a prime target for squatters.
