i can’t imagine any small lenders would cough up £30m for pay day loans.
small lenders would be happy to sell loans to big investors

According to outcome statement 21, it's the best year for lenders, much better than ever before. Actual return over is 15.5% of lending in low risk loans (expected return 5.5%).
meanwhile, actual return for lending in low risk loans (expected return 7%) reported in outcome statement 18 is 3.5%

By way of a brief update
Continues to perform well (XIRR stated 12%+) repayments flowing regularly and relatively few loans migrating to the PF, cash drag minimal.
Just paid out last 6 months worth of PF bonus interest, withdrawn and amazed to find it in my account within an hour.

Things seem to be pretty stable with Welendus.
They still never answer emails, resolve any problems or create opportunity to escape.
But my returns are very impressive (I think, maybe, possibly. Ah Lord knows.....)
Word of advice don't close the bank account you have registered with them the page to change it is not working.

I take a small amount of my criticism back.
They have (after some considerable prodding) repaired the page so details can be updated.
Now just to get something to test it with..... (Having rather rashly reinvested my tiny payment that prompted me to start the task)

(Having rather rashly reinvested my tiny payment that prompted me to start the task) You mean they have actually communicated with you ... or youve just fired emails into the void and something has happened?

I know it is hard to believe but contact was made (even screenshots requested) and the problem solved. Maybe just maybe..........

I think looking forward things are definitely improving. I have loans repaying and being relent (despite 15% setting), if the day ever comes when they leave the door ajar could be my number 1 platform for returns.

Regrettably, it's not. I finally got repaid my last loan in April, without interest, after an 18 month wait. Still have the account but not keen to test if it's still difficult to get invested (my other main issue with the platform) Pretty much the same experience for me. One difference is that I then e-mailed them stating that I wished to close my account. Suffice to say that I got no reply and the account is still active. Fast forward to November 2023; yesterday I received an email from them stating that, in accordance with their Terms and Conditions, they are giving me 30 days notice of closing my account as it “is currently inactive”. Looks like I am going to get completely out at last!

Well suddenly I am free and clutching my money (never a lot but the ride was worth it in a masochistic way)
I am not entirely sure how it happened, I logged in as I do occasionally and it wanted the 'test' doing. I did it and was offered the option to withdraw. Thought what could go wrong pressed yes and a week later the whole account has been 'sold' and the money hit my bank account.
Maybe it was good all along......
