I cant make head or tail of it. After a trial period with no issues I added some further funds in a series of 1k investments with a range 10-15%. These all initially invested within a couple of days, to my pleasant surprise, at which point I adjusted the ranges to avoid multiple (more than 2) investments in any one loan. Since then my overall investment has been steadily declining from 100% to around 77% last Friday. Today a couple of investments have sprung back into life and improved the situation, however a couple of my investments last bought new loans 23/25 days ago! These are not the newest investments and one of these now stands at only 60% invested. Another, newer investment with a similar range (12.5 - 15%) is currently 100% invested!?? I do wonder if adjusting the investment range somehow 'resets the clock' so it looks like a new investment and goes back to the back of the queue.
In a bid to clear this up I have called customer service this morning but so far, in a bad case of deja-vu, they have not answered the call nor called me back, which is even more unsettling than the seemingly inconsistent investment allocation. I do this quite often, it tends to help to lend quicker (I assume, by allowing for lower rate I jump the queue?). Today, for example, I had £10 queued in one of investments, adjusted the range down to 11.5% and it was lent within couple of hours. As a smaller Platform and not a lot of publicity I would imagine supply of funds would outstrip demand on many occasions.
God (other deity) help all investors here if Lendy every get their stagnant loans paid. There will be a rush of investor funds making the leap here.
It would take weeks to lend out even a fraction of that money

If L recovers one of those large loans, it's more than enough to buy entire loan book on W, .... . IIRC, Zopa haD a waiting list just before I started Z+ when lending out £40Mil+ a month.

If they have the lower lendy loans 9%,10%,11% still tied up when they pay they might be happy to get 12-15% on welendus with PF even if it ment a little wait .
£1000 if you had that previously at 9% you get approx 2.5p a day interest. If it took 30 days you would loose out on £7.40 before it was lent. If it subsequently was lent at 13% on 100 day loan (cumulated) would make £35.62.
If it hade been invested for the 130 days at 9% it would make £32.5 ie. 10% less interest.
I doubt it would take 30 days and a few quid less for that initial investment is a small price to pay for a less stressful and ultimately more profitable experience.

I can see a logic in this, but I was thinking of much longer queues. Given the scenario that a couple of large DFLs repay and everyone decides to chuck this money into WLD: Welendus is not a well established and widely advertised platform, will they be able to find enough borrowers to accommodate lenders' demand? And if they will, then how quick?

True. I had never even heard of welendus until i came to this board. Doubt i would even had invested if it were not for the reviews on this board. Overall i am suprised at how many p2p lending sites exist today. But will they still exist in 2 or 3 years time ?

We only want to cherry pick the solvent with cash flow problems. Before the goody goodies curse me for my insensitiveness we are all here to make money. Would need to be over 50 days to not be better off . Re invest for couple more months and it gets far far better.

Of course they will FS and Lendy will be trying to see who gets the prize for the 10 unpaid year loan record.

Some platforms will go, new platforms will start, most currently existing platforms are very likely to carry on in 3 years time. P2P will be there for as long as there's a gap for it in lending industry.

I don't think marketing money should come from PF. Welendus had 3rd round funding from seedrs and some of the proceeds will be spent on online marketing. I don't really watch TV these days, facebook, instagram or whatsapp ads may be more effective for those kids. We probably have to wait and see. Hopefully, Welendus will find a way to put its brand in the top search for "same day loan" on Facebook, Google, Bing, Duckduckgo or even on Alexa, "Alexa, I need a same day loan for £200".

I would be careful what you wish for. For a platform to become and sustain dominantance in their sector would mean a sizable scaling, increase in operating cost and an inevitable reduction in returns. If fact if my suspicions are correct that WLU are oversubscribed it's likely we could see a significant reduction in returns in 2019, maybe a removal of the PF bonus payment.

There is a well documented history of a platform becoming 'flavor of the month' and pretty quickly being widely condemned for not fulfilling investors expectations. Welendus may be wise to bear this in mind and restrict growth to meet sustainable steady expansion. Not really sure that is as easy to do as to suggest. Quite a few platforms struggling to attract funds to fill loans, that at one time went in minutes. Maybe there is a need for investors to remember this as well.

Alexa I don’t think so. I have 2 Alex’s and five Google devices I only use the Alexa to drop in on friends or ask questions when I am using google to make calls. Google devices are used to control my whole house although Alexa is set up to do most tasks too. Eg. When it is sleepy 💤 time I just say to google “hey google night night” “she” sets her volume to 55% , turns off all lights ,turns off the televisions , turns heating to night mode, gives me the weather for the next day, tells me of any appointments, asks me what time I want the alarm set or not, starts to play relaxing music 🎶 for 30 mins to lull me to sleep. I asked both for payday loans Alexa gave me unrelatedly facts google gave me nearest places with opening times numbers and directions . Having used both for over a year google beats Alexa hands down. I asked both “what is P2P independent forum. Google got it right with facts. Alexa “didn’t know that one. A little side tracked probably a whole thread on it’s own. I agree about the social media. If it can get Jeremy Corbyn elected it is pretty powerful stuff. The youngish working population , Welendus target audience would be avid users of all those you mentioned. 30 second add before love island and OWIE would get good millennial exposure.

On the subject of adverts they have made some; they can be found on their channel on youtube. They're pretty good as far as adverts go. I don't know how they get shown to the target audience though; maybe facebook ads or something?
