So it says on the website, "The Assetz Capital websites will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance during the period 00:00, Saturday 27th October until 18:00, Sunday 28th October, we apologise for any inconvenience caused."
That's ok - but I really, really, wish people wouldn't use "00:00" to refer to midnight. Please say either "00:01" or "23:59" to make it clear. As it stands, I'm not sure whether the site will be down for the whole of Saturday as well as most of Sunday.

I took it to mean 1 minute after 23:59 on Saturday, although it does specify 1 minute before 00:01 on Saturday.

isn't it obvious that 00:01 comes after 00:00 ? That much is obvious, obviously. What's not clear is the day to which they refer.

I read it as all day Saturday and most of Sunday. (And to be pedantic, perhaps the designators of BST and GMT are needed as clocks go back this weekend.)

Saturday 27th October until 18:00, Sunday 28th October

It will be going down 1 minute before 00:01 on Saturday 27th October. It should be available again prior to 18:00 on Sunday 28th but we're keeping that window open in case it's needed.

Is this downtime for installation of the long promised speedups chris?

Is this downtime for installation of the long promised speedups chris ? It's for a hosting migration to a new infrastructure that will provide much more horsepower, but in the interests of changing one thing at a time there won't be any code updates at the same time.

and with regard to the Sun 28th time, have you made allowance for the UK moving off daylight saving time ? Is that 18:00 in old money or 18:00 in new money ?
best to be both precise and accurate in these things - unlike most of the "clocks" in my house which are flashing 00:00 on a semi permanent basis: while precise they are only accurate for a very short period in every 24 hours.

actually, I am forgetting that this is AC. I confidently predict that the actual downtime will start at 00:00000000000000000001 Saturday 27th October. Whatever the timezone.
