Somebody tagged me in a conversation - does that mean anything important to me.

aju it means they mentioned your user name in a post like this. It only works if there is an @ sign immediately followed by the user name, no spaces. It must be the user name rather than the display name if that differs.

Thx archie, That's interesting as just never noticed I was tagged before I guess, although I get quite a few people who make my name blue for want of a better term. The weird thing is that as far as I can remember it's the first time i've ever got an email to tell me that i've been tagged and i haven't changed any of my forum settings - i think!.

Ordinarily you would probably just be quoted so the tag doesn't register. Your message generated a 'Quoted' & 'Tagged' option to me. To check if the user name is the same as the display name just hover over a blue name and it'll display the correct form to use.
