Just made a small withdrawl and the system asked me for my bank details.
If I was to make a mistake and enter a wrong digit, do I risk my funds going to someone else's account?
Or, does the system use the form to check the details I've entered are the same Assetz has on file for me?
If the latter, does it mean if I made a small digit error on the form, I'll encounter a delay of several days before I know that I'd entered the wrong details?
Any thoughts on this gratefully received.

Any thoughts on this gratefully received. See.... I asked them about this when I joined, (I'm fairly new to AC) and they told me they go through a manual process of verifying each withdrawal. That just seems crazy to me, they are not infallible either. I've been pestering Chris over in the 2FA thread to get the nominated accounts thing started, please come join me! It's more complex than that - there's an automated check against accounts used for previous withdrawals, a bank account lookup with a credit reference agency to see if the withdrawer is the owner of the account, and then a manual verification step. The only additional benefit nominated bank accounts gives is to remove the need for lenders to type in the account details. I appreciate that this aids convenience and am hopeful of the feature remaining in the next sprint. An error keying in your account no/sort code may result in a delay depending on how long it takes to verify with you, I guess.

I made a mistake on a recent withdrawal, sort code wrong way round. Within an hour of the office opening informed me that bank details were incorrect and I had to make it again.
I also made a withdrawal from my wife's account which was "higher than normal" and received an email for further confirmation.

Many thanks indeed to you both for clarifying that.
Nothing wrong with that method IMO but I think I do prefer the more normal system of presenting you with the last few digits of your bank account and asking you to confirm if that is where you want to transfer the cash to is a bit more user friendly.
I guess the AC method is more flexible in that presumably I could specify another current account owned by me but it does seem a bit over cooked.
In any case my main concern has been answered and I'm happy enough with that. It looks like should I wish to discuss further the details of the withdrawl arrangements I should seek out the thread kindly pasted here by Dan1 .

Best thing is to put in the correct number.

... or have verified bank accounts which you select from a drop down which would eliminate the chances of keying in the wrong details (like I did just before Christmas)
