A quick trawl and i can't see that this has been answered .... so i've put up a £50 part of 006 up for sale and its showing in my dashboard as up for sale (all good). The loans for sale page has a nice green tint for loans where parts can be bought - but 006 shows as 'negative' and not green so its hard to know how my part can sell? Any ideas? Thanks Jack P

Looks like a bug. This loan is £200 over funded. Suggest you contact SS as it might be a while before they find this post.

Negative amounts for sale are a bug -- caused when the system allows multiple people to buy the last remaining part of a loan. If savingstream spot it, they can fix it manually by cancelling the extra purchases. If they don't spot it in time, however, and someone else puts a loan part up for sale, that can cause the problem jackpease reported. At least in that case there's still the negative percentage available showing to alert SS that there's a problem that needs fixing. I'd still bring it to their attention, though, as it might help them work out exactly what has to be done to fix the problem. The worst case of this problem is when the additional parts offered are exactly the same amount as the erroneous multiple purchase. This happened to me last night, when I still had some parts of PBL001 for sale, but the Live Loans page was showing 0.00% available. So nobody could buy my units, and there was no indicator that would have suggested to SS that there was a problem. I sent SS an email, and they sorted the problem this morning, but that shouldn't have been necessary. This bug has been around for a while, and the more active the secondary market is the more likely investors will be bitten by it. SS really need to squash this bug once and for all -- and soon.

I didn't hear back from them, so there's a chance that the problem fixed itself. I have another outstanding question regarding the order of the secondary market queues and why some parts of mine were partially bought but then the rest wasn't bought when another investment was made. I haven't had a reply to that query yet -- but it is the weekend and savingstream are entitled to have a bit of time for themselves.
