Call me old fashioned but i dont like doing all this bank transfer malarky. I am paranoid i will press the wrong button and send money to a random account. Why cant you deposit via debit card like other p2p lenders ? I am more comfortable with this method of deposit. This is especially relevant when dealing with large deposits.

Have you tried doing test deposits using bank transfer? You can just send a £1 in most instances. Once the details are recorded as a payee (e.g Growth Street) in your bank account and you can see it's gone to the correct place for all future transactions you just need to select the payee (e.g. Growth Street) and enter the amount and date - that way you are clear it's gone to the right place.
I usually do small 'test' deposits and withdrawals on all new platforms - to both see how their systems work and set things up for future transactions.

Just do what Stardust suggested. This is precisely what I do each time. I also had problems doing the bank transfer with Growthstreet initially with my Nationwide account. See "bank blocking deposits" thread. On the ABL site each time I try to make a deposit with my debit card, the verified by visa check crashes. I've asked both the platform & the bank what the problem is & they both say there is nothing wrong with their system. haha. So I just do it by bank transfer, which clears in minutes each time.
