Just checked my interest payments for January and it appears I have received only half the interest that is due. I have added to my account by an extra £2000 in December that was matched in January and I have made no withdrawal yet, I have only received half the interest in January that I received in December. Anyone else experienced this?

Anyone else experienced this? Just rechecked all of our accounts. My partners classic and ISA is correct. My classic account is correct. That is the account I added the extra funds to. My ISA account is wrong. Only half the expected interest has been credited. I made no withdrawals, nor did I add to the account, as I am up to my limit on my ISA. I find things like this quite worrying, as I expect the platforms to get the basics right. I have sent them an email, but as it is Friday I expect no reply until Monday at the earliest. Matthew

Matthew I have just manually added up all my interest payments for January. It appears that the interest credit is correct as far as I am able to determine. However on the January statement it is showing as wrong. As I say only half of the amount credited. I am not sure if each individual monthly statement is added to arrive at the full annual interest, as if so, this would make the yearly figures wrong for the tax return. Either way the figures are definitely wrong. I am supposing as no-one else has commented, then this is something peculiar to my account.

I only have an ISA account. My January interest looks right: the amount I get if I calculate it myself, the amount on the January statement and the amount I get by totting up all the individual interest payments from the account history all agree with each other.
The trickiest thing was finding where to download the January statement: it's tucked under a heading of "Financial year 2019 to 2020". By my reckoning we're still in tax year 2018-19.

Thanks for that toast.. yep I have the correct interest paid, but as you have noted the statement is supposed to correspond with the interest paid out, mine doesn't. I realise I have no tax to pay on my ISA, but it still concerns me that the amount is wrong. I can't think how it could happen, as I would have thought it was an automatic process. It means that from now on, I will be checking my accounts to make sure they tally. Especially the classic, as there is a tax liability for that. Mine just might be a one-off. Hopefully when I speak to some-one on Monday all will become clear.

Hi blink Sorry you seem to be having an issue with your statement - I'm sure you'll get a speedy resolution on Monday but let me know if I can help further. Matthew Please can you look in to this. I was hoping it would be sorted by now. I have spoken to customer service and emailed. I keep getting the same response. There is a problem with my statement for January on my ISA and they are working on it..It is a priority. I don't call nearly a month of working on it as IT taking it as a prioity. I don't want my February interest being wrong, compounding the issue. I email.. I get the same response and then I get an automated response as to how I rate the service I have received. (to be honest, not very good) I am now getting exasperated with this. They have stated some one will email and call me when this is sorted. I don't want to think that this is a standard response to problems as this has been going on since 1st January. Thanks for your time. BTW they have all my details.

Hi blinkI'm sorry you're still waiting for a resolution to this - I assumed this had been resolved. I will find out what's happening first thing in the morning and have someone get back in touch with you to provide a full update and timeline for resolution. Hope this helps.
