in Q & A on loan 8008 (£200,000, C-) the borrower says that FC told him/her that they are in highest risk band because size of loan is at top end of FC limit. There are plenty of 6 figure A and A+ loans so someone appears to be telling porkies. FC or borrower?

I thought FC threw a dice with the sides marked, A+, A, B, C, C-, and refuse.

This one doesn't look like a C- to me. If the 200K requested was a significant portion of the turnover it would turn it (as borrower may struggle with repayments) but it isn't and the Delphi score is OK and I cant see anything too bad there. The one thing I semi-trust on their risk bands is their C- designation (this one aside) as of the 11 defaults I had, 5 are C-. Otherwise they seem suspicious from time to time - like 8076 has a duff Delphi score and liabilities exceed assets so I fail to see how any half decent scoring model would grade that as good (of the loans that came thru today, many seem dodgy just looking at the Delphi score which is all I tend to do in conjunction with a check on the loan amount to turnover ratio).

Had a look earlier but when I went back to look in detail it was gone.

Must be you, I can still see 8008, and have a live bid in it? Have you switched it on and off?

It's back, but I didn't change anything (another FC glitch). Having looked at my credit ratings service the and the rating is good, in fact they have been up rating the recommended credit limit. FC obviously use the spin the bottle technique for setting their risk bands
