Apparently Richard ceased being a Director 31st Jan.
Sadly, as usual, no announcement to lenders . . .

We could assume that he's done a runner, probably with a payoff. Out of his depth and he knew it and will be relieved to be on his way.

It's worth remembering that even some of the fiercest critics of FS on this board have quietly admitted to still making a profit from their investments, even when using a very conservative recovery rate for their outstanding loans. Also worth noting that speculation or jokes about someone's health or personal issues isn't really a path we should wander too far down.

I would think it reasonable for FS to take the time to tell us that a Director has left the company.
I cannot think of any reason to wish anyone sickness.
I am concerned at this company's views on defaults which I think is optimistic and I've certainly stopped adding more cash, I just wish they would give me some of it back. "Interest", without income is not a good sign.

True but I don't think any of us will have a definitive profit until the defaulted loans are finally settled - I may just scrape a profit but some of my loans seem to be worse than I feared. There are some big hitters here who are going to take huge losses on at least some of their loans. I am not bothered about myself as I can afford to write-off £500-£1000 (would rather not!) but I am concerned about pensioners etc for whom such losses will have a marked effect.
I also blame the FCA who strike me as worse than useless as passengers on the failed politicians gravy train - sooner or later the government will have to act but they may have other priorities at the moment...it is only a question of time before the media get hold of this p2p lark.

I could very easily be wrong but I thought he'd essentially been bought out ? i.e. the company is in new hands?
If so, that doesn't seem such a terrible thing.
