I note that AC have started locking certain tabs on suspended loans so anyone not manually participating in a loan can't access the info. However, anyone with cash in the automated accounts will have holdings in most loans and may want to know the details of why loans are suspended. Now they can't ... are AC trying to hide problem loans from the wider lender base? Was this change communicated?😣 chris DanielZlupko

Try again now, maybe it was just a glitch earlier?

I asked chat line yesterday and they explained investors would no longer have access to ACTIVITY, DOCUMENT and Q&A tabs on suspended loans in which they had no monies invested.

Try again now, maybe it was just a glitch earlier? Seems to depend on the loan. For instance I have no access to #411 which has a QAA holding but can access #397 which has a slightly larger QAA holding (neither are sub 1p). Looks like there is a minimum holding to allow access - £1 would be my guess.
Edit: Which raises the question will you be able to access info on a sub £1 MLIA holding. What about no holding but accrued interest ... still a stkaeholder but no access?

Apparently not. I have £0.95 of MLIA holding in the Ipswich loan and found these tabs are blocked to me when I checked for news on the outcome of yesterday's auction.
EDIT: On the other hand I have zero holding in#549, with outstanding accrued interest, but all tabs are viewable.

AC are going to have to be careful not to implement this approach on suspended loans where there are other still tradable loans to the same or connected borrowers. For some lenders to be denied access to due dilligence on connected (distressed) loans would I feel amount to mis-selling by AC.
A current example. 544 is currently suspended for a vote, but wouldn't surprise me if this becomes a credit event suspension in due course. 779 to the same group remains in good standing (primarily due to retained interest), but anyone buying 779 needs to consider the borrower's approach to 544 to get a full picture.

The effect I noticed was that the "Invest" button is disabled for a couple of loans, but still enabled for the rest (also visible on the green (+) button on the main loan list)
I'd initially thought that AC might have introduced a new category of "permanently suspended", where no further investment would ever be permitted.
On further investigation these are the suspended ones where I have no current investment.
Perhaps this is a step towards being able to enable trading in all loans, where only current investors (who can be deemed to be familiar with the history of the loan) are permitted to buy more of loans that would otherwise be suspended?

Or perhaps only those who self-certify as "Sophisticated" / HNW ? That would make more sense than suckering a naive retail lender into buying more of a non-performing loan at a tempting discount.

Maybe that would make more sense, but the current implementation seems to disable the "Invest" button only for those who do not already hold some of the loan.

I have two accounts and for one loan in which trading is suspended in one account I can read the activity tab where I have some money invested, in the other account with no money in the loan I cannot read the activity tab or the documents or Q&A

What a retrograde / likely counterproductive move.

It is a shame for those lenders that only or mainly invest in the access accounts.
They may have large holdings in suspended loans in the access accounts, albeit with a discretionary PF and the ability to sell out under normal conditions.
It is a shame they won't be able to keep abreast of what is going on.

I suspect this is a bug rather than deliberate as there seems little point in it.
