I have relending turned off in Zopa Invest account for a while now and have noticed that the sweep process that moves repayments from the Zopa Invest account to the holding account seems to be out of sync with each other in the past few days.
The repayments from the 19th Mar for me ran from 20:17 to 21:47, usually these repayments would be swept across to the Holding account which then allows me to withdraw this money. Over the last few months this has been later in the evening sometimes drifting into the early hours of the next day. Generally though, they would be available next morning at the latest.
Yesterday, the 20th, I checked the holding at around 12pm before I went out. When I returned late evening 23:30. I noticed that funds had arrived. I assumed that the sweep run had failed and this amount was also sweeping up the 20th's repayments that run that day as well as they finished @ 20:27.
So I transferred the available amount and thought nothing more until this morning I noticed there was a further £7.65 sitting in holding. Assuming that the amount related to a closed loan or a default that may have been paid I decided to check my statements to see what it was and what happened.
At that point I noticed that the Holding amount last night did not include the earlier repayments run and the closed loan as I had suspected was there but the holding now also contains last nights repayments as well!.
Whilst the impact is not that important it indicates to me that Zopa background processes are not performing in a consistent way, probably indicating further bottlenecks in the nightly processes. I have not borached this with Zopa as yet but wondered if anyone else had spotted this phenomena. I have also noticed that someday's the amount of money sitting in repayments does seem to creep up quite a bit probably because of similar effects. Also the whole zopa website platform seems very slow again.
Edit: Mrs Aju's sweep picked up both days but her last repayment on the 20th was 2 minutes later @ 20:29. Of course it follows that the runs may be staggered who knows what's happening. It does suggest that the sweep run may have failed on one of those days though!.
