So I filled out one of their support forms to complain :
"PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Change the god awful choice of luminescent purple. It's seriously painful to the eyes. What on earth were you thinking "
and all they've said back is :
"We are sorry to read that you feel this way about the new changes to the website. These changes were made as a part of rebranding RateSetter as a business and to make our website more engaging for all our investors. We understand and value your feedback, and we will forward your feedback to the relevant team about your concerns. Please let me know if you have any further questions."
I fail to understand how anyone would have approved of that colour scheme.
I misread one word in that reply & thought how honest & brave to admit that. Certainly suspect that it will succeed in 'enraging' many sublimally if not deliberately

"...more engaging for our investors."
So they are targeting the under-fives now. Isn't there a law against that?

I don't know what all the fuss is about. No really, I haven't been able to see properly since I looked at the new RS site, then it all went dark. "People who designed this website also bought the following ...." It is quite shockingly ... engaging ... and not in a good way.

That's what I thought. Typical corporate thing - somebody decided on rebranding and outsourced the task to someone who likes fluorescent. Someone else could've liked flashing disco lights on the background or whatever... I don't understand why RS needs rebranding. Should I worry and start withdrawing?

Seriously, white text on a bright magenta background!? White text on a bright pink background!?!?
Are they trying to camouflage their writing? Do they even understand how contrast works??

Should I worry and start withdrawing? I have. Withdraw all my Holding account yesterday - £900. If they cannot manage colours, how can we trust them to manage money?

Oh, you shouldn't have said that. RS reads these forums. This will be noted as an idea for the next rebrand (scheduled in 2 months).
Incidentally, I hear some people like the Comic Sans font ...

I like the new design of Ratesetter colour, it's eye-catching. The logo is big and bright, compared to others like, Sainsbury - orange, M&S- black and white, AA loans - mainly yellow,
However, someone could have have done a better job on the Web Interface.
The home page right now it's TOO BRIGHT and causes so much eye irritation. This web interface may drive someone else to look for another loan providers.
The member areas for investor could have toned it down a bit with less bright and irritating colours.

In this day and age, with all the data that "They" have about us, you'd think that they'd be able to serve each of us a personally tailored colour scheme.
Perhaps based on the colour of our cars, partner's eyes, or the underwear we put on that morning.

Perhaps based on the colour of our cars, partner's eyes, or the underwear we put on that morning. I seem to remember we had that kind of capability in the early days when there was just IE and netscape. Well at least some websites did that. Since then no chance although looking at what can be achieved with stylish and iits successor of Stylus then it is possible to control some things. The trouble is many websites have realised that people want to change the way their websites present and therefore a lot of them have started resorting to using graphics rather than raw text. I managed to get stylus to simply change all the important text from these awful colours to simply black and white. I got most of it. whilst I don;t like all the graphics that are odd colours I can live with it as they are just really point markers the real dat is in the old school text stuff. Unless ratesetter reforms their pages I'll keep this on rolling on my browser - I waste a lot less time trying to focus on the text now....

I suspect someone Dutch is behind this. I work with a load of them and they always seem to colour spreadsheets with the colour sympathy of a 5 year old

Have they subtlety changed the hue/saturation over the last few days or have my eyes become accustomed to the shock?
