Was wondering if anyone is feeling nervous about their p2p investments now that no deal is looking more and more likely?

I am considering reducing my investments by 50% just to be on the safe side. May jump back into p2p when i have a bit more confidence in the economy.

Can't recall a time since before 2007 that folk were not speculating on the next property crash and general downturn. It hasn't happened, it might happen and it might not.
Thankfully most people and businesses in the UK have just got on with it which is why we're doing quite well.

I'm nervous, but not because no deal will happen. It won't.

I'm staying in p2p. I believe we will end up with a long extension with a customs union. The indicative votes on Monday will be interesting and give us a better idea of where we're going.

£995 an oz for gold right now. Last time i purchased gold it was £800 an oz. Was 2013 i think. Precious metals may be the way to go over the next 2 or 3 years.

I reconfigured (and reduced) my P2P portfolio a few months ago with a view to making it a little more resilient. I'm not unduly worried about the prospects for short term property development loans but the impact on some SMEs could be anything from mildly positive to positively catastrophic.

So platforms like funding circle etc could see defaults soar should no deal be as bad as the media is predicting.Or any platform that invests in sme like growth street.

I have been convinced for a while that May was put there to make sure Brexit didnt happen. If she was serious about it she would have gone to the US right at the start - then used this as a bargaining chip in her negotiations. We will never know for sure but I would put quite a sum on May being a political saboteur.
