I seem to have similar recovery repayments on this two days running. Am I seeing things or is it real?

You are not imagining it - my transaction log shows the same thing. Plus, of course, the almost equally substantial repayment may a few weeks ago on 8th March. As usual, no update from FC regarding these unusual events. My guess is that the guarantor has a sudden need to clean his credit record. Another one like that & he'll have almost repaid the outstanding capital !!
EDIT - afterthought - more likely he wants to sell/refinance the property over which FC took a charge, and can't do so without redeeming the loan.
