I'm looking at the latest "refer a friend" offer where I get £100 if my friend invests £1000 & he/she gets £50 if it's left there for over 1 year.
Frankly, I'm wondering if I should withdraw £1000 from my AC account & refer my husband, who will invest the same £1000 back in.
That would give us 15% ROI on that cash, about 9% more than if I left it where it is now.
I accept that I can only do this once in my lifetime, but I can't see the catch. Is there one ?
Edit - He'd get the 6% if he left it there, so it is 15% in total

Just think how annoyed you'd be if, in 6 or 12 months time, he decided that what he really needed was a new AC account but you'd missed out on some free cash.

Before P2P, savers put a guinea in a piggy bank, now they smash the banks to become guinea pigs.
