Is it just me or is the TrueAndFair website not allowing you to sign the *Petition "Bailey Not Fit For BoE Governor Job" let alone even Register with T&F? www.trueandfaircampaign.com/* I can't find any petition/s anywhere on their website. |

The petition site is currently closed, from the petition site:
All petitions had to close on 6 November because of the General Election. The site will remain closed until we have a new Petitions Committee. We’ll keep you updated about when the site will reopen for new petitions and signatures after the election.
Why is the petitions site closed?
The petitions site is closed because the General Election meant that Parliament had to be dissolved. The petitions website is part of the official work of Parliament, so it had to stop too. \
When can I start a new petition?
The petitions site will open again as soon as the House of Commons sets up a new Petitions Committee. We don't know exactly when that will happen. You can follow us on Twitter @hocpetitions for updates or check back on the petitions site for news if you prefer.
Why is there currently no Petitions Committee?
The General Election means that all the Committees have to stop work. New Committees will be appointed by the new House of Commons and until then, there are no Chairs or Members of Committees. The information on these pages is about the work of the Petitions Committee before the election.
Why isn't the petitions site opened as soon as the election is over?
Without a Petitions committee, it's not possible for decisions to be taken on petitions submitted on the site. This includes the scheduling of debates on petitions with more than 100,000 signatures and the considering of Government responses for petitions with more than 10,000 signatures.

The @hocpetitions twitter account has posted that the petitions website has been opened earlier today. Also that all petitions submitted must be moderated by the committee before publication to maintain "standards". I guess it will be operational shortly. I'm still a bit  that the country disabled the closest process they had to direct democracy for 4 months... |

Merci james100. The petition to stop Bailey starting the BoE jobbie is still not listed. Shame, I'd wager everyone on here is itching to sign it asap. |

Do you ever get the feeling this is not a level playing field ? Sorry, we can’t accept the petition you supported – “Review not rubberstamp Andrew Bailey as Governor of the Bank of England”.
It included confidential, libellous, false or defamatory information, or a reference to a case which is active in the UK courts.
We can't publish petitions about individual honours or appointments. You could start a petition that calls for any appointment to role of the Governor of the Bank of England to be made only following a hearing and confirmatory vote by the Treasury Select Committee or by one or more Houses of Parliament, if that's what you'd like to see happen. We've hidden the petition as it contains statements that may be defamatory towards an individual.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards:
