I created an assetz account 3 or 4 weeks ago. Now i am getting calls from asset every couple of weeks asking why i have not deposited any money. These guys are really pushy for investments.

So, if you opened your account 3 or 4 weeks ago, and you're getting a call every couple of weeks, that means you've had two calls?
Sounds like good customer service to me, trying to help someone get to grips with their platform (which isn't the simplest).

I got one call after I opened some time ago. It was helpful. They also called a few months ago again, asking if everything is alright. I see, no problem with that at all.

I was also bombarded with calls from them, they have no respect for privacy. I told them several times to stop calling me and that I do not want to receive phone calls. Their response was: "I checked the call history and we've only been calling you with good news". They don't get it at all.
The website doesn't contain any way to opt out of phone calls or text messages, you have to argue on the phone with someone who doesn't understand data protection or privacy laws.
In the end I asked them to remove my telephone numbers from their site. They refused because they are required for Two Factor Authentication and for "Anti Money Laundering".

Just checked and saw that indeed there is no option on the "communication preferences" section to opt out of unwanted communications by telephone, it only allows opt-out for unwanted email communications (which are, if anything, LESS intrusive).
I find it surprising that Assetz consider this to be in compliance with current laws. Must find out for myself what the actual rules are for GDPR some time...
stuartassetzcapital - any comment on which rules AC consider to allow them to avoid providing customers with any opt-out for unwanted communication?

I first invested with Assetz soon after they started. Received 2 or 3 calls over that time asking if everything was OK. Replied yes. Don't recollect high-pressure techniques.

My family and I have several accounts with AC, some since the early days. Never received an unsolicited call.

I've never received any calls from AC. My wife did. She opened her account very recently and received a call asking if she needs any help with understanding how different AC accounts work, which we thought was very nice. She doesn't need any help because I know how to deal with it, but I imagine some new investors might be confused with 6 accounts offered by AC.

Never had a call, or an email, or even a ping.
Happy about that as I am as anti-social as they get.
