(If a Platform has been shown to blatantly lie on a number of occasions then you have to be a complete mug to keep investing with them.) Unless, of course, it's just a 'fun punt'  And any losses on the fun punt will also be met with the implied ambivalence, I'm sure.

The % he quotes are either wrong factually or using seriously dodgy accounting. He definitely is recognising accumulated interest up front, and not making any provisions for losses on loans which even the loan comments indicate there is little to no chance of recovery. Definitely not prudent in my book. He then claims that anybody who has lost money is a fool for not being diversified enough, despite me telling him countless times that diversification doesn't help when well over half the loan book is defaulted or in forbearance. In short he is a charlatan. I am not sure of his motives, I will leave that to your imagination. What is for sure is that he continues to spout out his rubbish despite consistently being called out. You missed the point Nobody with even a modicum of savvy HAS lost money overall and you can’t prove otherwise. Prove me wrong Pleeeeese DEFAULTED DOES NOT MEAN LOST. Completed is the only time that can verify an individual loss if applicable and that should be offset in overall investments.

The end result is the world is a wild place. If you want go to co-op feel good about yourself and don’t bother making money. All the moaning softies can leave P2P to the cursed people who want a little extra in their lives. Where the can distribute some of their enormous profits to deserving less fortunate while you can sit back and say pity I can’t help but I don’t have any spare funds because I’m nice.

Doesn't change the fact that you're here for your amusement and to add further negative sentiment to something you're not involved in. You're allowed to do that, just good for everyone to be clear on it, that's all. Other people that often talk negatively about the platform have said they use it as a means to identify distressed property for sale. All we should remember is to base our decisions on our own analysis or independent financial advice, not completely trust the sentiment of forum goers, myself included obviously.

This thread is becoming to look like a play/battle ground for pro/anti FS arguments and has a potential for being flooded by personal attacks. Please hold your guns and don't force admin team to have more issues on their plate  You do a hard enough job so since none of the FS hating Kabal have EVER shown evidence of a loss or answered any of the legitimate questions. I’m happy to leave them to their self congratulating delusions. The adults will move to a more erudite discussion thread.

I don't actually explicitly do this - I would but just too busy to go after non-local projects. Damn right I have given a few details to friends in the trade - and whose fault is it that FS seem on the odd occasion to be completely incompetent when advancing our money in such loans! In fact the more people that go after such disasters the higher the selling price. That said I may have a dabble in Barnoldswick at it is not too far away if I have time in about a year as hopefully the eviction will have been been carried out by then and the price will be really low...
I am happy for people to comment on loans as I like to hear all sides - whether or not they are invested is immaterial to me.
I really think some people are confusing people being negative about FS for ulterior reasons and those of us who want to see FS thrive but are raising serious and legitimate concerns about some of their loans - my "biggie" is the uncompleted Park Homes - I really hope I am wrong but...

My point is that lots of people comment, some invested, some not, some for fun, some to cause arguments, some to talk up their own investments, others as they're in denial about their own performance, while a few of us may actually just like to find some real information

.... no, didnt think so. I find the chat option to work and engage well on website. I did forget you have to actually have an account to use it. Many here don't but still feel qualified to comment on the platform
