... I like to drive and enjoy the journey not be stressed... ... and I've never wanted to change back to a traditional transmission since purchasing my first Toyota hybrid for broadly similar reasons.
I sometimes have to drive traditional manual or automatic transmissions when I'm using hire cars etc. or have a courtesy car when mine's in for a repair/service, and it drives home to me how much smoother everything is when there's no mechanical change in gear from 0 to [max speed for road and conditions], and how much less responsive the power is when an engine needs to be revved up (possibly requiring a down-shift in gears) to deliver a surge in power demand that an electric motor can supply within milliseconds regardless of current speed.
Almost certainly by the time I'm next in the market for a replacement car, technology based on pure electric power (with basically the same benefits in terms of smoothness and responsiveness) will be sufficiently mature that I can go down that route (indeed I already eyed up a couple of possibilities), and never need to visit a petrol station in my own car again.

Sadly my 3l car is being frozen out of lots of cities. I would happily use an electric version if available but at 2.5 tons you need a a good few PP3’s just to get moving (I believe they use lots of3.7V 18650 Li batteries) By the time I get my next but one. I will be old enough to appreciate the introduction of self driving cars.

If you’d never heard of LY you could have bought yourself a couple of real Bentleys. I’m pretty sure LB has a few Bentleys courtesy of us.

You wouldn't believe how many more it take to get it to tow a ton plus of caravan up a 20% incline ..

So, 21 days on from the previous update, is some money from the recoveries going to appear in our accounts?

Indeed this is the last day of their estimate of when they'd update indvidual accounts, I'm not even sure why they weren't updating accounts as money was received, I doubt it is because it's cheaper this way and it's nothing to do with AML as they can block withdrawals.

Check your E-mails everyone. Interim payments are due! ....to lenders. Thought I had to clarify, as you can never know with Lendy what payments lenders need to make for partaking with their money!

Check your E-mails everyone. Interim payments are due! That is assuming they have money to pay out. An update on the situation of individual loans would be helpful.

Are you ready Mr LLoyd? All tills open and manned. Are you ready Mr Barclay? The vault is unlocked. Are you ready Mr HSBC? Paying in books open and carbons inserted. Are you ready Mr Midland? Parchments unrolled, inkwells filled and quills sharpened.
Er,..........it is today, isn't it? Have I come too soon? (My usual problem).

Er,..........it is today, isn't it? Have I come too soon? (My usual problem). Too soon.
Today is supposedly when they "anticipate" crediting our accounts with "interim distributions" for the 4 specified DFLs (no indication about what time they plan to press the buttons).
Enabling the withdrawal facility is to be advised at some future unspecified date...
As I understand it, all they plan on doing today is distributing [part of] the money that they've been sitting on for half a year, part of which could in principle have been credited to our accounts even before the administrators were appointed.
It is to be hoped that RSM will be making fewer deductions than Lendy would have done had they distributed the money on receipt, and that this could adequately compensate for the half year delay, but who knows...?
