To clarify, you're talking about these two? Powerboat Loan 5818112533 for £550,000 (formerly 3059445627 and 2431487813; £78.5k interest paid to date) -- brand new 2015 spec V40R class Power Boat with twin Ilmor MV10 725 Gen 4 engines and MerCruiser NXT MKVI dry sump drives. -- " The powerboat will be located in an indoor storage facility when not in use for promotional activities. Whether in storage or active the boat is fully insured with a loss payable clause in favour of FundingSecure, sufficient to cover the full cost of the loan plus interest." -- 14/01/19 " In fact the equity partner has made another small transfer to ensure that storage and insurance remain in place." Power Boat 4945807152 for £650,000 (consolidation of 2851711630 and 2055851450; £43k interest paid to date) -- 2015 model V-40 with with twin Mercury 1100hp racing engines and MerCruiser NXT MKVI dry sump drives -- " The powerboat will be located in an indoor storage facility when not in use for promotional activities. Whether in storage or active the boat is fully insured with a loss payable clause in favour of FundingSecure, sufficient to cover the full cost of the loan plus interest." -- 14/01/19 "In fact the equity partner has made another small transfer to ensure that storage and insurance remain in place."adrian77 - which one has an image of the boat in storage?

I think the preliminary poll answers sum up perfectly how serious we should take the views shared by the majority on this forum 😂 It's all just for entertainment

Some one with a large sum of money tied up in these boats would not find this poll to be fun. Most of us are able to shrug our shoulders and get on with life but too often at the moment the newspapers are full of bad news for small investors with huge sums being lost, life savings vanished and people driven to despair. These boats are a typical example of Mickey Mouse financing that should never have seen the light of day. Mainly because of the handling of one of the these loans but also because of the dubious dealings perpetrated with regard to the Northern Ireland wind turbine I now steer well clear of Funding Secure. Their loans have the potential to be very high risk with entire loans lost.

Today, after seeing this poll, I've given up and will just accept that is what these threads are. Surely 90% of lenders don't truly believe a boat doesn't even exist, but that's what the schadenfreude in us apparently wants to see...

Personally I am very annoyed to hear that FS investors have been taken for a ride or (not in this case!) My poll was designed for feedback and to be honest shake FS up into giving a meaningful update. I neither wish to see anybody lose money nor to act as a cheerleader for FS so interested to know what your evidence is to support your above assertion.
I am a bit surprised so many people don't believe there are any boats but a great believer in group perception and why I asked the question in the first place.

update - I think speedboats need to have an index number- whatever I refuse to believe mega boats (or boat?) such as these aren't registered and that their ownership would be very easy to prove.

This poll is my literal evidence that most people here are just laughing at the misfortune of others. Do the majority of people truly believe that a boat never even existed? Perhaps so, but another explanation is that people are just having a laugh and causing worry at the expense of investors who see this. As a final bit of evidence that you requested as to why I view this is a joke to so many people, please see the title of this thread; "fun poll". However, as I wrote earlier in this thread, I've come to just accept this is what it is so I might as well just accept that.

I voted for no boats, not because there isn't a boat(s) but because the security simply isn't there. 61 percent LTV, anyone?

never thought of that but a very good point - so FS here are we with several of us wondering how many boats there are and what is the security - why not come clean with us and tell us exactly what the situation is here?
