FC have put this TV ad on youtube

It's aimed at borrowers not potential lenders. Odd as there doesn't seem to be a shortage of loans to bid on at the moment - mind you the quality is pretty naff and why oh why don't borrowers answer the questions?

Just did a search on Youtube for Funding Circle and found their channel 'FundingCircle1'. Their first TV advert is shown in two versions, 60 and 30 seconds long. All full of bright coloured things circling round and round along with a soft voiceover. Very touchy-feely.
One hopes they know their target audience.

The 30 second advert was shown tonight on Dave during an episode of QI XL.

why oh why don't borrowers answer the questions? I don't think FC explain or emphasise that there is a Q&A page where investors might ask questions. I have emailed a couple of firms directly in the last fortnight because while all their main financial signs were good, they were refusing to answer questions. It turned out that neither firm knew anything about the questions.

Tried again today and button to answer was back. So - that website again - another FC cock-up: take your pick!

Now, just out of interest, take the sports lawyers currently seeking a substantial amount of money. They have chosen to be anonymous and have refused to answer any questions. The firm itself is easily identified and I emailed the MD yesterday pointing out a lot of investors would like some answers. But answer came there none, neither direct to me, nor to the Q&A page - henceforth to be called the Q page. This louche collection of young blades (the website shows 'em all studiedly casual and in a pack) clearly deal in big money and all us small investors are not worth the bother. I would not lend 'em a farthing even at 100 per cent.

I assume that phantom tallguy sussed this gang of advantage takers (from football cash swilling excesses) right from the start - over £40K has been "allowed in" at MBR of 8%! Not for him!

Well I usually bid on anything above my target return based on a 3 month flip, but these are being carefully ignored even if the rate is tempting.

Talking of tempting rates, 8370 is only 89% filled with just 19.5 hours to go. I've popped in a solitary £20 just to see if this will be my first ever 15% part. John

That's one of the few loans I've seen on FC where they didn't need to answer why their credit scores were not "healthy" (I didn't even ask). I'll take a bit of that for a few months down to 14.5%?? but I think 14.2% is more likely - borderline territory? (I'd rather them as a C than Top Tear U-NO-HOO as an A!!)

They've accepted early - looks like as soon as it filled.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on that loan...
I found it so puzzling I came and found this forum from Dark Knight's comment to try and find out more.
