Hi all
Is there a boilerplate complaint forum members could use to send to the FCA? If there is many more people are likely to send in a complaint and this can only be positive I would have thought?
If anyone has a form of words they feel could be used it would be appreciated if this could be posted, unless there already is one which I have missed, in which case a link would be great help.
many thanks

Missing the money in my collateral account. They are money lost to opportunity. Who knows if I would ever see them again...

(page 2 onwards) A copy of the register entry is also included in that thread. The process is completed online so is very simple. Less than 5 minutes and most of that is 'ticking boxes' and filling in your details. As for the complaint itself it doesn't have to be more than your personalsied version of 'your release www.fca.org.uk/news/news-stories/information-investors-collateral-companies states that Collateral (UK) Ltd did not have the requisite permissions to trade. Your register showed Collateral to be regulated for the period in which it was trading' ... and for redress that you expect the FCA to compensate you for any losses following the liquidation. There are better versions in the thread that I have linked to, suggest you have a look there.

Many thanks, Duck. I have put in a complaint along the lines you suggested. The more people that do this the better I would imagine.

As well as doing the above , you should also write to your MP The FCA are already feeling heat from MPs linkso contact yours tell them the facts and ask for their help .
As with everything in this life a little effort goes a long way and this beats sitting on your backside waiting for something to happen .

I just received a reply from my MP with an attached Treasury Committee response dated April! (response extract)- ''The committee has received a lot of correspondence about Collateral and the accuracy of the FCA register in general. The Committee has received correspondence from the FCA on the accuracy of the register recently. The Committee raised the issue of the accuracy of the register again with the FCA during its recent evidence session. You can find a copy of the transcript on our website. Your constituent's experience together with the others we have received will be used to assist the Committee in its scrutiny of the FCA going forward.''

good work ,
Reply back and tell them you and your finances don't wish to be used as a sacrificial test piece for the FCA to improve it's register and it's regulation.
