Credits and debit both showing as red in MI account display. Yep! This was also reported around 23 Oct. The debits have a little minus by them but surely the old system of black and red is better - we don't all have perfect sight. Apart from which, red for debit and black for credit is very standard accounting practise. We didn't get the phrase 'going into the red' from nowhere. I think pretty much everybody understands red to indicate debit, overdue, warning etc. Very confusing, and potentially alarming to some people to see a list of red entries in their statement.

BUMP! The page has changed - you can set the target directly now, rather than having all this mental arithmetic and risk of accidentally increasing a target that had already been increased or similar. What else do you feel needs discussion about this older version of the site? Main "gotcha" now on that page is the need to remember to click "set my investment target as" each and every time you adjust a target, rather than the system remembering that's how you prefer to set targets. I think OG is trying to remind chris to look into this weirding. The only slight issue I've with this page and its' now updated version is that the 'radio button' is always on increase holding. Ideally we should select it, then perhaps it remembers how we left it last time and then continues to work in the same way, rather than we always have to remember to change that setting (assuming we're not always increasing our holdings). The other possibility is that this radio button is never selected and we always have to pick what we're doing, increasing, decreasing or setting the target- I think this last option will work for the greatest number of Lenders.

The same might happen again because that setting option is still available. Discuss that. (Thanks for input Ton ⓉⓞⓃ)

Stop logging me out, AC!!! 20 minutes is nowhere near long enough. I only have get distracted onto these forums or elsewhere on line and that time has gone, then its full emailmail, full password and full security question again and again.

I know what you mean, but I can see their point. If you were to wander away from your keyboard while logged on, and some nefarious ne'er-do-well were to access it by fair means or foul, and sell all your precious investments, and divert the proceeds to a shady account in the Cayman Islands, you might, in this ever-increasingly litigious society we inhabit, decide as an aged curmudgeon to sue their asses off. And sooner or later, I'd have to bear some part of their costs, in some way or another, if they lost.

Firefox - reload every 15 mins sorts it for me. Although I usually forget the first time I log in and only engage it on the second attempt. I feel for you as your "emailmail" must take nearly twice as long as the rest of us to type

It wasn't a problem before the new site, and this is sort of change that could have been added on it's own.

Is someone in the AC dev team having a laugh this afternoon? I come back from doing something else for a few hours and find the statement's all green now . I admit it's better than the 'all red' we've asked to stop, but really!! Is it truly so hard to do that bit of code that says IF < 0 THEN Red ELSE Black ? Surely if someone was going in to do a change there it would've been quite easy to make it sensible?

The "laugh" was last week (well after the site launch) when someone decided red and black was too confusing for us, so all figures were changed to red, then later the addition of a minus sign for debits was introduced just in case we couldn't recogise our DR from our CR in the nice new red colour ...... and stuff! No one from AC has enlightened us yet as to how all this is good for us and makes the site better.

Very Bad: -3.24 2.45 -6.32 29.50Less Bad: -3.24 2.45 -6.32 29.50Good: -3.24 2.45 -6.32 29.50 Very much better: -3.24 (apart from the alignment, which clearly I'm rubbish at 2.45 -6.32 29.50 Better still: 3.24 (for some) 2.45 6.32 29.50 (Edited to add final option after discussion with OG below).

I would be confused whether a minus by a red figure is the same as a "double negative" in accounting documents. But I'm easy to confuse.

Good point, and I'd happily go with my 'good' option of all black in preference to this red/green nonsense, if that's generally the feeling. Edit: although to me the red highlights clearly that money is going out which I like to see, and I'd find it odd not to have the minus sign there. But I do accept that it is in fact a 'double negative'.

Mmmm. I understood exactly what
3.24 2.45 6.32 29.50
...meant before. For the red ones I then looked at what I'd paid for. The black ones I looked at who'd paid me.
Simples.

Will edit original list accordingly. Edit: was just trying to make a visual point (grumpily ) to whoever is developing the bloomin' thing.
