What do people think of P2P advertising on fb. I'm seeing adverts from LPd currently. Given that Ly used fb to raise investment in order to grow too fast...?

Of course, but that's irrelevant. It may push the advert because I follow a finance page, that's all. If they had data about what I invested in then LP could have opted out of paying to push their advert at me.
Loanpad have paid them to advertise. fb infrequently shows page shares, in order to get the business to pay them to do so.

Not on FB so may be generalising but are a lot of the ads not of the Scam variety? or is that just a media thing

Not so sure FC ads can have any effect reminds me. I saw a large billboard FC ad. People have voiced concerns about adverts. I didn't mean this in terms of privacy or fb. My main concern is a platform seeking to grow to quickly through retail...

lots of people who would be your targeted audience use adblock on facebook, so not sure if it's worth it.

Bitcoin is a specialised market. (or at least you should have good knoledge of what it is about) Didn't stop people from piling money before its crash and scam IPO's, it is facebook afterall. As far as I'm aware this was something brought up when Zuckerberg was answering to the U.S Goverment specfically scams of Bitcoin advertisement (or misleading returns ect).

Funnily enough I only turn the adblockers off if a site categorically refuses to work ok with them turned on or I move on to another site more likely. Mrs Aju is always complaining about her tablet where she seems to constantly be fooled into pressing those damned video adds. Mind you I hate toys tablets so I don't see what she's moaning about.. Long live adult computers ...

I'm not concerned about whether I'm being advertised to or not. I'm not of the "IT paranoid" generation. I'm merely asking eg 'if a company advertises on fb, what does that say about the company?' Apparently Lendy pushed on fb. Is it a sign of trying to raise too much, too quickly. Or as Lendy did, raise retail investment, because they had no institutional investment? Should Lp be targeting retail on fb anyway?
