2 years @ 1.4% versus 2 years @ 1.1% generates an extra £492 for an 80K initial investment. It's hard to summon enough enthusiasm to switch accounts.

34.9% APR quoted for Credit Card. Looks like they really have given up on trying to recruit the more creditworthy borrowers!

Those rates look pretty competitive to me, at first glance.

At those rates, I’d gamble on Premium Bonds - and I hate Premium Bonds. Or maybe even gamble on the stock market.

Ive taken a gamble on premium bonds. I feel after my interest dump from 3.1 to 1.5 at RateSetter 1.4 or so on PB would be worth it for a bit. Its worth looking at the date to deposit your funds. In error I put mine in just after the last draw. Terrible error, as now have to wait 56 days before entered in to the draw. Good luck.

An email from Zopa, Extracts from a Zopa email:
we officially got our full bank licence!
We're pleased to announce that, in support of Black Lives Matter and the NHS, we've chosen two charities to focus our fundraising efforts on this year.
Firstly, we have picked the Amos Bursary which helps give young men of British African/Caribbean heritage the opportunities to develop.
------------------------
Why would a Bank get involved in Politics? The BLM organisation is a far-left anarchist organisation that wants to de-fund and disband the police force.
The Amos Bursary helps students based purely on the colour of their skin, everyone else is excluded irrespective of need or justification. A racist organisation by definition.

Because politics matter to a lot of people. If you don't like their support go to another bank!

They are probably trying to find a way of aligning with 'ethical investing' - it's somewhat different to the reasons for boycotting eg Barclays in the past, in that it's charitable giving vs investment. However, I think Z should think about diversifying the range of charities they align themselves with, definitely. For example, what about pollution and improving air quality in inner cities where a lot of BAME people live and where there are schools and colleges in pollution hot-spots, right next to busy roads, and consequently are adversely affected.

I am also putting more into PBs these days but I hope you realise that the 1.4% is an average prize fund rate and that even with the maximum £50k invested and with average luck you'd only be *likely* to win about £500 per year?
You make a very good point on investing at the end of any given month though. Today would be a good time to add more
