There was a potent article in the Financial Times on 26 August predicting that the P2P industry is likely to go through a very rocky period in a downturn. The article is behind a paywall, but you can read it on this site. What do you think about their warning?

There isn't new information in it and no real point is made. Babble to fill a column.
... from the article:
"Rhydian Lewis, chief executive of the UK based platform RateSetter, believes it will be those that follow the “tortoise” model."

Quote from the end of the article... “It means not reaching too hard for high returns, which will become high losses in a recession.”
We’ve already seen two high interest platforms go under, while we are in the longest, post war, expansion period, with very high employment stats and very low BoE interest rates. When/if recession hits it will, no doubt, be ugly for some.
