Loan 101 W**t L**** C*** H*** Payment due yesterday. Has been chased and only person able to pay out of country until Thurs. 19th and loan parts can still be traded. Yes, there is supposed to be a re-finance taking place before the end of the month, but this is another example of the "weeks grace" facility that is extended to the borrower being used too casually IMHO. Presumably the borrower was not called away unexpectedly and is well aware of the due date. I know that interest will continue to accrue until it is paid but these delays cause unneccesary uncertainty, particularly given recent history of some other loans. I am sure this period of grace damages ACs credibility with lenders, especially when it is used other than at weekends and I personally will be glad to see a direct debit facility put in place. I have no problem with there being a day or two of grace if the sky falls in, as long as it isn't Chicken Licken calling the shots! I wonder if borrowers would care more if there was a higher default interest penalty. Perhaps there could be an allowance for the the first late payment, but then if default interest was enforced one would expect that someone in the borrowing company would notice and care. But I'll admit to having zero actual experience of this side of business.

Funding Knight send an email notification and part copy of every update to every investor as a matter of course, with a link to the site where upon signing in, the full text of the update is displayed automatically without the lender needing to search it out.
I think it is time that AC developed an automated system for doing this every time an update is added to each loan. I'm fed up with having to log in every time someone mentions an update on this forum, especially as wiithin twenty minutes or so AC has logged me out again. This would save David having to add to this forum, and us the hassle of searching through each loan to find out if anything new has been posted.

I believe Chris has a colleague (minion) working on this. Perhaps you could bribe him with a banana! to complete this faster.
One of the (only) things I like about Funiclular Climbings is how they list all the recent updates in one place so its easy to quickly check them.
The problem with AC at the moment, apart from lack of notifications, is that important info is often conveyed through the Q&A but not replicated in the updates so you have to check both. Ideally, what you want is some sort of filterable news stream that covers both updates & q&a but no idea if that would be practical or maybe some form of dismissable indicator shown on the loan list if an update has been posted or Q has been answered. In effect, a version of these forums

Apologies for the lack of updates in this thread whilst I try to get the updates up to date.
It has become easier now there is another me helping me!!!

GTT2 #35 updated Recent Activity. Astonishing behaviour. Denying signing a PG!! I'm not in this one! Although I'm not in this loan, as a lender this will be interesting to see how it plays out in court - the update was quite an interesting read! On the plus side, a good outcome for AC will strengthen the perception of the PGs in general, and make shyster lenders borrowers think twice about simply signing any old bit of paper just to get a loan. EDIT: doh - borrowers, not lenders
