Has anyone else withdrawn their pre-funding instruction on #282 ? Didn't go near it in the first place. More alarm bells than positives for me.

Has anyone else withdrawn their pre-funding instruction on #282 ? Yes I did, wasn't in for very much but then put £50 back on just for diversification purposes or perhaps a bit of despair creaping in with my growing cash balance in AC.! Mind you they still look better than that Car Wash Company you saw on FC the other day wanting £60k, profits and growth were actually not bad but assets of about £300.... that would be 2 pressure washers, 2 buckets, 2 sponges and maybe 1 chamois leather between them then

Mmmm! It does appear that an alert investor may have uncovered something which may not have been taken into consideration when formulating the loan. No questions will be answered in the meantime.
PS I wouldn't even have lent to a "hand car wash" outfit on Filthy Carville if it were an F at 28%

Has anyone else withdrawn their pre-funding instruction on #282 ? Didn't fancy it in the first place. Business started life in west africa and then relocated to uk. No cv's for people running the company. All sound a bit strange

Has anyone else withdrawn their pre-funding instruction on #282 ? Thanks for the heads-up; I've cancelled mine for now. Happy to invest in alternative energy, but if there are serious questions ... If the issues are resolved I will probably go back in.

Just to give a little more info, as much as I feel comfortable without it coming via official channels, the events in the borrower's personal history happened too long ago to be included in their personal credit report however they would have been picked up in the bankruptcy search which is carried out on the day of the drawdown by our lawyers and the drawdown wouldn't have occurred. A Google search on the borrowers is part of our checks but hadn't happened yet, and that check also would have thrown up these issues. We're revising the process to make sure that Google search happens earlier on.
We are currently talking to the borrower and the loan will only go ahead if we are satisfied with all the information, answers, and ultimately credit risk. If we have any doubts then the loan will not proceed.

The quality of questions on 282 , never mind the answers, shows how the q&a features can be a real star in the overall lending approach. Well done to that lender (and AC for sticking with that feature which I imagine is quite resource intensive for them)
